Dong Chen Emerges Victorious in WSOP Limit Hold'em Championship
Dong Chen, a relative newcomer to limit hold'em, emerged victorious in the WSOP $10,000 limit hold'em championship, earning $285,200. The tournament, which had 121 entrants and a total prize pool of $1,125,300, featured a star-studded final table that included poker legends such as Benny Glaser, Jeremy Ausmus, Jesse Lonis, and Gus Hansen.
Chen's victory was particularly impressive given that he had only played one other dedicated tournament in the limit hold'em format. He defeated Benny Glaser heads-up to secure his second career WSOP bracelet. Notable players who missed out on the final table include Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, and Josh Arieh.
Jeremy Ausmus finished in third place, earning $130,380. Jesse Lonis finished in fourth place, earning $183,590. Gus Hansen finished in sixth place, earning $49,665. Chen's aggressive play and strong runouts allowed him to blitz to victory, securing his place as a formidable player in the poker world.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
