David Lappin Joins PokerStars as New Ambassador: A Champion for Fairness

David Lappin has been chosen as the newest ambassador for PokerStars. The Irish poker professional finished tenth in the PokerStars Live League competition, earning him the role. The appointment was announced during the EPT Paris livestream, marking a new chapter in PokerStars’ focus on community-driven ambassadors.

Lappin is a long-time advocate for fairness and player representation in poker. He and Dara O’Kearney resigned from their roles with WPT Global due to concerns about game integrity, underscoring his reputation for principle and transparency. Lappin hopes to bring energy and empathy to live poker events as an ambassador, aiming to be a friendly presence at the tables and to feed player feedback back to the PokerStars team.

Lappin plans to attend nearly every stop of the upcoming Live League season. He expressed enthusiasm for the schedule, highlighting the success of venues like Barcelona and Prague, and looking forward to experiencing Monaco for the first time. His goal is to prove useful across different areas, ensuring that PokerStars won’t want to let him go.
