Daniel Negreanu Smashes Venetian Poker Table Plexiglass

Daniel Negreanu made headlines this weekend when he destroyed plexiglass dividers at the Venetian poker room during a high-stakes tournament. The plexiglass dividers, installed due to pandemic measures, were scheduled to be removed this week.

Negreanu, a GGPoker ambassador, was caught on camera exiting the tournament in an unconventional manner. The plexiglass dividers, which were meant to separate players due to pandemic restrictions, could not withstand his weight as he jokingly exited the table. The incident occurred during his third bustout from the $25k buy-in Venetian High Roller, where he missed out on the cash in three tournaments, including two $10k buy-ins and a $25k buy-in.

The incident sparked a Twitter divide, with users expressing mixed reactions to Negreanu's actions. Some users found the incident humorous, while others believed it was not funny and that Negreanu should be banned. @OfficialShawn commented, “Just because you act like @phil_hellmuth doesn't mean you can play like him! #toosoon?” referencing Hellmuth’s double victory over Negreanu in the HighStakesDuel and Hellmuth’s often outrageous Poker Brat behavior.
