Daniel Negreanu on Poker Rules: Slowrolling is Not Cool
Daniel Negreanu, a prominent figure in the poker community, recently shared his thoughts on poker rules and slowrolling. During the ongoing WSOP series, Negreanu proposed a change to the poker rule that if a player is all-in at showdown, the other player must show their cards first. This suggestion, however, did not gain much traction among his followers, with many commenting that the player who last raised should show their cards first.
Negreanu also expressed his disapproval of slowrolling, stating that it is akin to hitting a downed opponent and is not cool. He mentioned that while he is not often slowrolled, he considers it rude and disrespectful. Most of his followers agreed with his sentiment.
Shane Deeb, a fellow poker player, joined the conversation with a humorous comment, suggesting that Negreanu should create his own logo for his rules, given his frequent posts about how others should play and enjoy poker.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
