Daniel Negreanu Responds to Daniel Colman's Poker Controversy
Daniel Negreanu recently wrote a response to Daniel Colman's post about poker. Colman, after winning the One Drop tournament, refused to give an interview, stating that most people lose money in poker and he did not want to promote an activity that could negatively impact individuals.
Negreanu, however, sees things differently. He compared poker to other professions and sports, noting that while many people strive for success, only a few achieve it. He mentioned that the One Drop tournament raised $4.6 million for charity, showing that poker can have a positive impact.
Negreanu also highlighted that poker can be beneficial for elderly people, helping them stay mentally active and socially engaged. He stated that while poker can be dangerous for those prone to addiction, it also has many positive aspects. Negreanu concluded by emphasizing that Daniel Colman should be grateful for what poker has given him, as it has provided him with a livelihood and many opportunities.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
