Daniel Keyts on GG Poker's Closed High-Stakes Lobby: What Happened?

Poker player Daniel Keyts has shared his thoughts on the recent closure of GG Poker's high-stakes lobby, providing a detailed account of the events leading up to this decision. In March 2023, GG Poker doubled the rake for VIP tables without warning, leading to a boycott by high-stakes players. Elky acted as a mediator in April 2023, helping to negotiate a compromise on rake increases.

Keyts also mentioned that GG Poker agreed to provide more information about security and blocked several accounts suspected of cheating. In January 2024, GG Poker reformed its fair play department, appointing Fedor as an advisor. Despite these efforts, high-stakes players like Keyts expressed concerns about the closure of the high-stakes lobby.

Elky and Fedor were involved in high-stakes games shortly before the closure, raising questions about their involvement and the reasons behind the decision. The community's reaction has been mixed, with some players accusing Elky and Fedor of betraying their fellow professionals for potential financial gains.
