Crazy Mike: The Poker Player Who Loves Challenging Opponents

Crazy Mike, whose real name is Michael Torp, is a poker player known for his eccentric behavior at poker tables. His nickname, given to him by a friend, Chris Vitche, is derived from his behavior rather than his playing style. Crazy Mike got his start in poker at the age of 18, when he fell in love with the game at an Indian casino. He began playing limit hold'em online and in casinos, and his unique approach to the game quickly became apparent.

Crazy Mike's military background has significantly influenced his poker career. He served in the US Army from 2001 to 2007, including active duty in San Diego. During his service, he often played online poker in his free time. His father, also named Ed Torp, was a military pilot and not related to the famous financier Ed Thorp. Crazy Mike's military experience taught him discipline and responsibility, which he applies to his poker game.

Crazy Mike prefers to play with wealthy, entertainment-seeking opponents rather than serious poker players. He enjoys the challenge of playing against those who are not as focused on strategy and theory. His unique approach to the game has made him a popular figure in the poker community, and he continues to share his experiences and insights with fellow players.
