Couple Impersonates FedEx to Steal $150K from Missouri Casino
A couple was arrested in Missouri for impersonating a FedEx employee to steal $150,000 from a casino. Charles E. Blaisdell, 42, and Heaven L. R. Roberts, 21, arrived at the casino around 8:38 a.m. in a black Jeep. A security employee then handed over $150,000 in cash. Officers with the Macon County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle on Highway 36 and arrested the couple.
This incident is part of a broader trend of casino scams. In 2024, a man pleaded guilty to theft of more than $700,000 from Michigan’s Four Winds Casino. Jesus Gaytan-Garcia reportedly called the casino claiming to be the casino’s tribal chairperson and needed the cash quickly. In 2023, Erik Gutierrez Martinez, 24, pleaded guilty to a scam that netted more than $1 million from the Circa Hotel and Casino. In April, three employees of Binion’s Gambling Hall in downtown Las Vegas were accused of stealing almost $300,000 from cash registers at the property.
In another recent casino-related crime, a nurse in Evansville, Illinois, faces charges after allegedly using a nursing home patient’s debit and credit cards to gamble away thousands of dollars. Ashley Stone, 36, made purchases with the cards in Evansville and Henderson, Kentucky, including $5,000 used to gamble at Bally’s Casino in Evansville.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
