Chris Brewer Wins WSOP Super High Roller: $5.3 Million and Gold

Chris Brewer made history by winning his first WSOP bracelet and a staggering $5,293,556 in the Super High Roller event. The tournament, which attracted 69 entries with a $250k buy-in, resulted in a massive $17,181,000 prize pool and a top prize exceeding $5 million. Five players secured seven-figure payouts, highlighting the event's high stakes.

Notable figures such as Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth, Chance Kornuth, Brian Rast, the Foxens, Justin Bonomo, and Jason Koon were among the participants. Jason Koon had to leave the event early to accompany his wife to the hospital as she went into labor, receiving a refund for his exit.

Phil Ivey's journey in the tournament was cut short when his A♥ 3♥ lost to Martin Kabrhel's Q♠ Q♣. Kabrhel's controversial behavior drew criticism from players like Andrew Robl and Dan Smith, who described him as the least-liked pro on the highroller circuit. Despite the drama, the tournament continued with intense competition. Alex Kulev was eliminated by Artur Martirosian in a classic race, and Martin Kabrhel finished in third place. The final heads-up battle between Chris Brewer and Artur Martirosian saw Brewer overcome a 2:1 chip deficit and ultimately win with a runner-runner.
