Chargers' Slow Start Sparks Scrutiny on McDaniel and Herbert
The Los Angeles Chargers have started the 2026 NFL season with a 0-2 record, sparking scrutiny on their offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel and quarterback Justin Herbert.
Mike McDaniel, the Chargers' offensive coordinator, is under scrutiny for the team's slow start. Jason La Canfora, an NFL reporter and insider, stated that the Chargers are not considering firing Jim Harbaugh after their slow start. Instead, the focus is on McDaniel, who does not come from the Jim Harbaugh coaching tree.
General managers have questioned Justin Herbert's leadership skills due to his poor performance. La Canfora predicted that if the Chargers' offense doesn't improve or the team produces explosive plays, there may be changes affecting the team.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
