Chance Kornuth's Epic 69-Hour Poker Marathon: $517k Win
Chance Kornuth, a young American poker player, won $517k in a 69-hour poker session in April 2010. Kornuth turned a $5,000 buy-in into a $517k win in a private cash game where recreational players were firing stacks. The session took place in a $4M dollar penthouse with huge TVs blanketing every wall, chefs preparing top notch food and beautiful masseuses giving rich business guys massages as they splashed chips around a poker table.
The blinds were $25/$50. Kornuth's total buy-in and stack were both $20,000 after taking a few add-ons. Kornuth was up to $100k after 12 hours. Kornuth's biggest win was $517k.
Zach Gensler broke the Guinness World Record for the longest poker session in history by playing for 124 hours straight in November 2021. Phil Laak held the Guinness World Record for the longest poker session, playing continuously for 115 hours in June 2010.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
