Canadian Couple Wins Big Again: CA$675,000 Lottery Jackpot 8 Years Later
In a remarkable stroke of luck, Angelina and Edward Lado of St John, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, have won CA$675,000 from the Atlantic Lottery's 'Set for Life' scratch-off game. This is not their first major lottery win; the couple previously won CA$2,500,000 from a scratch ticket in 2018.
The couple plans to use the new lottery windfall to help cover their children’s college education. They chose to receive the prize as a lump sum, which amounts to roughly $475,000 USD. The couple was playing the 'Set for Life' scratch-off game and had bought a $4 ticket when they realized that they had won.
Edward Lado shared with the Atlantic Lottery that they could hardly believe what had happened. "We play modestly, especially now, but if you don’t play, you don’t win. We will think about anything else along the way, but for now we are just digesting the moment and letting it sink in," Edwardo explained.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
