Brin Kenny: Why I Only Play Expensive Poker Tournaments

Poker player Brin Kenny has announced that he will only participate in the most expensive tournaments and spend the rest of his time relaxing. This decision comes after Kenny realized that spending all his time on poker was a bad strategy and decided to change his approach.

New Approach to Poker and Life

Brin Kenny mentioned that he had a lot of mistakes in his career and decided to change his approach to life. He won $1.4 million a few days after his 30th birthday, which he attributes to his new approach to life. Kenny considers his family to be very important and values their happiness. He does not see money as a primary goal and is ready to lose it all.

Looking ahead, Brin Kenny plans to stop playing poker in the future as it is becoming more like a regular job. He believes that poker is a good start but not a lifelong career.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
