Brendon Kantu Claims He Was Robbed of His Poker Bracelet
Brendon Kantu, a well-known poker player, lost his bracelet in a controversial heads-up match against Jonathan Aguiar during the WSOP Europe series. The tournament #5 was played in a Mixed Max format, with the final day featuring a heads-up match between the two players.
Kantu accused the WSOP management of favoring Aguiar, leading to his loss. He stated that the WSOP allowed Aguiar to play on his terms, which was unfair. Kantu was ready to continue the match the next day, but Aguiar refused, leading to Kantu's elimination from the tournament.
Kantu gave an interview to Sara Grant from PokerNews, expressing his frustration. He said, "I was robbed. For the first time in my life, my bracelet was stolen! What the WSOP did, allowing Aguiar to play on his terms, is simply unbelievable." He also mentioned that the poker played was "great, possibly the best in WSOP history."

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
