Brandon Wilson's Meteoric Rise in the Poker World: A $15.2 Million Success Story
Brandon Wilson, a Chicago native, has made a significant impact in the poker world, accumulating over $15.2 million in live tournament earnings since mid-2021. His impressive wins and strategic moves have positioned him as a top contender in the 2026 Card Player Player of the Year race.
Wilson has won five PokerGO Tour titles since the start of 2025 and secured multiple European Poker Tour high roller victories. His career-best result was a $2,241,000 win at the Triton Super High Roller Series in Jeju. These achievements have earned him a leading position in the 2026 Card Player Player of the Year race with 5,925 points.
Wilson's journey to success is marked by dedication and versatility. He graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School and attended the Actors Studio Drama School in New York City. During the lockdowns of 2020, he started teaching online Zoom yoga classes and rekindled his interest in poker. His first two live trophies were at the 2021 WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic and the 2022 L.A. Poker Classic. Wilson credits playing inside the PokerGO Studio as one of the key factors in accelerating his level of success in tournament poker.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
