Black Friday Fallout: UB Team Disbanded, Players React, and More
Eleven American players were fired from the UB team: Joe Sebok, Prahlad Friedman, Eric Baldwin, Maria Ho, Brandon Cantu, Tiffany Michelle, Scott Yohn, Dave Stanhope, Adam Levy, Brian Devoon, and Trishle Cannatella.
Eric Baldwin expressed relief on Twitter, stating, “What a relief, no more need to work two jobs.” Prahlad Friedman wrote, “The future is never known. Confess your love and show it.” Scott Yohn stated, “This won't stop me, I'll keep playing anyway.” Adam Levy tweeted, “I am free. Where are you, Wombat Poker???”
Brian Devoon expressed his disappointment with the government's actions but was grateful for being allowed to play live poker. Joe Sebok mentioned that the legal department of UB is working on returning the players' funds. AP/UB reached an agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice, ensuring that third-party companies can collaborate with AP/UB to facilitate the return of funds to U.S. players. Moneta.Ru temporarily suspended withdrawals from Full Tilt accounts. Isaac Haxton and Justin Bonomo plan to leave the United States due to the aftermath of Black Friday.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
