Bet365 CEO Denise Coates Earns £213M Amid Company's Profit Plunge
Denise Coates, the CEO of Bet365, earned £213.4 million in the financial year 2021-2022. This significant amount includes a basic salary of £213,440,000 and approximately £50 million in share dividends.
The news of Coates' earnings comes amid a backdrop of the UK's cost-of-living crisis, sparking outrage and derision from many. The High Pay Centre, a campaign group, criticized the disparity in wealth distribution, stating that "too much [money] is going to too few people."
The Bet365 Group's profits fell from £525.1 million in 2021 to £76.1 million in the year to March 2022. Coates attributed much of this decline to investments in emerging markets, as stated in the company's annual report.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
