68-Year-Old Poker Legend Barney Boatman Wins EPT and Joins PokerStars

Barney Boatman, a 68-year-old poker player, has been active in the poker scene for nearly 30 years. In February, he made history by becoming the oldest champion of the European Poker Tour (EPT), securing a victory in Paris and winning $1.4 million. This achievement marked a significant milestone in his career, which has seen numerous highs and lows over the decades.

Following his EPT win, PokerStars announced that Barney Boatman had joined their team of ambassadors. This news came as a surprise to many, given his age and the competitive nature of the poker world. Boatman's inclusion in the PokerStars team is a testament to his enduring skill and influence in the game.

During his EPT victory, Boatman had a notable hand against Eric Afriat. The hand was significant not just for its strategic play but also for the heated exchange that followed. Afriat, known for his aggressive style, took issue with Boatman's call, leading to a series of tense interactions. Boatman, however, remained composed and focused on his game, ultimately securing his win.
