Avr0ra Shares Insights on Poker Career, Streaming, and High-Stakes Games

Alexey 'avr0ra' Borovkov, a prominent figure in the poker world, has been co-hosting a monthly podcast with Brdz1 for nearly a year, focusing on high-stakes poker events. This podcast has become a staple for enthusiasts looking to stay updated on the latest happenings in the poker community.

Avr0ra recently ventured into streaming, using it as a practice tool for expensive offline series. His focus is on the Super Millions tournament, where he plays one table and interacts with the chat. Despite his efforts, both streaming sessions followed a similar pattern: Avr0ra made one entry, held on until late registration, and exited just before the prize money. These sessions are available on YouTube and Twitch for viewers to watch and learn from.

When asked about the strongest universal player, Avr0ra named Barak Vissbrod, praising his clear and good decisions. He also mentioned Limitless as one of the best players. Avr0ra estimates that progressing from NL10 to NL200 requires around 2,000 hours of practice. He prefers discussing hands with familiar regulators and using tools like GTO Wizard for analysis. His maximum comfort zone is playing 6 tables, with strict rules for regulating tables. Avr0ra rates his love for poker at 10 out of 10, but finds high-stakes games more enjoyable. He advises working in small teams for improving poker skills, as it is more effective than solo practice. Avr0ra follows a conservative approach to bankroll management, recommending at least 60 buy-ins for NL1k. Enlight, another notable player, recently played NL40k in Macau for two weeks, finishing with a small loss despite a challenging experience.
