Adrian Mateos Wins EPT Prague €25k High Roller Title
Adrian Mateos won the EPT Prague €25k High Roller title, fending off Alex Kulev in a heads-up showdown. Mateos took three straight wins to claim the title. Only 8 players entered the tournament, with one rebuy boosting the prizes. Arnold Oosterbaan spent €50k for no return. Daniel Dvoress and Ben Heath were among those who fell before the three paid spots.
Pascal Lefrancois exited in 5th spot. When Oosterbaan’s 2nd bullet only took him as far as 4th spot, the remaining trio, Kulev, Mateos and Sternheimer were in the money – registration had to be closed and the 2-day tournament became a one-day event. When Kulev downed Sternheimer, he and Mateos agreed an ICM deal with the Bulgarian’s chip lead giving him just over €100k, Mateos settling for slightly more than €70k.
Alex Kulev finished second, earning €101,798. Philip Sternheimer finished third, earning €43,220.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
