Positions
6-max in poker
Definition
A table format with at most six players instead of the full nine or ten.
With fewer players each hand is played more aggressively, ranges are wider and positions are named UTG, hijack, cutoff, button, small blind and big blind. Most online cash games and many Spin & Go games use 6-max.
More hands per hour are dealt at a 6-max table, so variance per hour is higher and you see more of the same opponents.
