Positions
Cutoff (CO) in poker
Definition
The seat directly to the right of the button; the second-best position and a common seat for steals.
The cutoff acts before the button on every street. Because only the button and the blinds are left to act, it can open a wide range and attack the blinds.
When the button is a tight player, the cutoff can effectively play like the last seat and open even wider.
