WSOP Main Event Champions from 2015 to 2019: A Decade of Poker Legends
From 2015 to 2019, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event saw some of the most memorable champions in poker history. In 2015, Joe McKeeen won the WSOP Main Event with a prize of $7,683,346. He had the third of all chips and a twofold advantage over the nearest opponent at the beginning of the final table, and eliminated five opponents at the final table.
In 2016, Ki Nguyen won the WSOP Main Event with a prize of $8,005,310. He was known for his unpredictable actions during the main tournament. In 2017, Scott Blumstein won the WSOP Main Event with a prize of $8,150,000. Scott arrived in Las Vegas only for the main tournament and left with a bracelet.
In 2018, John Cynn won the WSOP Main Event with a prize of $8,800,000. John entered the final table with the fourth stack and stayed in the middle of the table almost until the end. Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
