WSOP 2025: Flight 1B Leads the Way to the Final Table
The WSOP 2025 Main Event has reached its final nine players, marking a historic year as a female player has reached the final table for the first time in 30 years. Leo Margets, a Spanish poker pro and Winamax Poker ambassador, is the second woman to make the WSOP Main Event final table and is guaranteed to earn at least $1 million.
Flight 1B has proven to be the most successful starting flight, with four of the nine finalists beginning their journey on Day 1B. These players are Leo Margets (41, Spain), Kenny Hallaert (43, Belgium), Michael Mizrachi (44, USA), and Luka Bojovic (37, Serbia). Flight 1B had 1,096 players, 16 of whom made it to the Top 100, 8 to the Top 27, and 4 to the Final 9.
In comparison, Flight 1D, which had the largest field with 4,997 players, sent 49 players to the Top 100, 8 to the Top 27, but only 1 to the final table. Despite having less than a quarter of the field size of Flight 1D, Flight 1B matched 1D with 8 players each in the Top 27.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
