WPT and Theta Labs Launch Season Pass NFT for Exclusive Access

The World Poker Tour (WPT) is partnering with Theta Labs to create a Web3-based season pass for all WPT broadcasts. This season pass will be given to all WPT NFT owners without any cost and will be for sale on ThetaDrop. WPT CEO Adam Pliska stated, “We are proud to partner with Theta to offer users an exclusive way to access WPT Seasons 18 and 19 with the first digital season pass powered by Theta Metachain.

Season 19 of the WPT will run from December 2022 through February 2023 and will be available to all pass holders without commercials. The WPT launched the first NFT poker club in February 2022, teaming up with GAMAVRS to create the Poker Heroes Club. Club members will be able to use their Poker Heroes as in-client avatars with special abilities such as access to freeroll tournaments, exclusive celebrity tables, and access to WPT live VIP events.

Poker Heroes owners can upload their NFTs to use as avatars that unlock ‘poker superpowers’ on an exciting, upcoming online poker venue, WPTGlobal.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
