High-Stakes Poker Showdown: Who Won the WCOOP High Roller Tournament?

The WCOOP high roller tournament with a $25,000 buy-in attracted 31 participants, leaving one spot open. The tournament featured some of the biggest names in poker, including Andrew "LuckyChewy" Lichtenberger, who immediately secured a spot in the second round.

Daniel "jungleman12" Kates was the first to exit the tournament after a brief stint against Jason Mercier. Despite having deep stacks, Kates lasted only four hands before being eliminated. Phil "MrSweets28" Galfond and Daniel "KidPoker" Negreanu had a notable match, with Galfond emerging victorious. Their chat interaction added an entertaining layer to the competition, with Galfond jokingly referring to Negreanu as "old man."

Isaac "philivey2694" Hakston faced grolongo, with many speculating that grolongo is Isildur. The match against Hakston only strengthened these suspicions. GVOZDIKA55, a Russian player, faced Jonathan "iftarri" Jaffray and eventually lost. Jason Mercier lost his match against RaiseOnce, becoming the first casualty of the second round. Phil Galfond lost his match against the Swedish player regista8.
