Wai Kin Yong Wins $350,000 at Triton Poker London Short Deck Ante Event

Wai Kin Yong, a Malaysian poker player, has won the $30,000 Triton Poker London Short Deck Ante event, securing a prize of $350,000. This victory marks his fourth Triton Poker title and the end of a four-year drought after winning the Triton Poker London Main Event in 2019.

The event featured 24 players with 13 re-entries, creating a prize pool of $1,110,000. However, only seven players won a prize due to the small number of participants, making for one of the most tense bubble periods seen during the series in London.

Wai Kin Yong sealed the deal before his wife arrived to see him challenge for victory. Daniel Dvoress was the first to be eliminated from the final table.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
