Vanessa Selbst Returns to Poker as WPT Trainer
Vanessa Selbst, the highest-earning female poker player, is making a comeback in the poker world, but this time as a trainer. Selbst, who has won three gold bracelets at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and earned $11,906,000 in live tournaments, announced her retirement from professional poker two years ago. However, her expertise and experience in the game have led her to a new role with the World Poker Tour (WPT).
Selbst will be working as a poker trainer for WPT's educational platform, LearnWPT. Her role will involve creating instructional poker videos for the WPT GTO Trainer course, covering topics such as winning strategies, playing with weak hands, dominating stronger opponents, pre-final tournament strategies, reading opponents, and exploitative strategies.
With over ten years of experience in poker coaching, Selbst is well-equipped to help young players become legends in the game. Her analytical skills and ability to exploit opponents' weaknesses have always been noted by her peers. The developers of the educational project are confident that Selbst will make a significant contribution to the development of LearnWPT.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
