TylerRM's Battle Against Poker Bots: Investigations and Findings
TylerRM, a prominent figure in the poker community, has been actively investigating suspicious players and bots. In June, he reported a list of 45 suspicious player nicknames, sparking significant discussion and action within the community.
TylerRM highlighted that PokerStars is currently the safest poker room, noting that the platform's transparency and support for statistics make it a more secure environment for players. He also mentioned that Chico, another poker room, blocked 57 accounts based on his findings, demonstrating a proactive approach to addressing the issue.
One of the most intriguing developments in TylerRM's investigations was the receipt of a data leak containing 50 gigabytes of screenshots and documents related to bot operations. This leak provided valuable insights into the methods and strategies used by bot operators, including recommendations for operators and detailed instructions for software installation. TylerRM also shared that Alex981, another investigator, was offered €100,000 to stop investigating bot operations, highlighting the high stakes involved.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
