True Geordie's Poker Event at London Hippodrome: A Night to Remember
True Geordie, whose real name is Brian Davis, hosted a poker event at the London Hippodrome on October 27. The event included a series of freerolls where viewers could win a chance to play in the Main Event. The winner of each table proceeded to the next round to play against Brian Davis.
The last man standing, Jack Brian, took home £2,500 and a bespoke trophy donated by PokerStars. Brian Davis mentioned the possibility of future events, including a trip to Las Vegas.
Davis said: “It was an amazing night, one of the best nights I’ve ever had, and to top it all off our runner Jack won the thing as well. He was supposed to be dog sitting for me until a few hours before!”

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
