Tom Dwan Wins Big in Marathon Poker Session Against Patrick Antonius
Tom Dwan, known as 'durrrr', won a staggering $764,000 against Patrick Antonius in a marathon poker session that lasted 15 hours. This victory significantly boosted Dwan's lead in the Durrrr Challenge, a high-stakes poker event involving 50,000 hands of Omaha poker with blinds of $200-$400 on four tables simultaneously.
The Durrrr Challenge, proposed by Dwan, offers a $1.5 million prize to any opponent who can win against him. Antonius initially led the challenge by a significant margin, but Dwan's comeback in this session has changed the dynamics of the competition.
Dwan's victory included several high-stakes hands, where he dominated the play and secured large pots. One notable hand involved a nats-flush against Antonius's set of eights, resulting in a win of $376,971 for Dwan. Despite Antonius's efforts to recover, Dwan's strategic play and resilience led to his victory, pushing his lead to approximately $725,000.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
