The Lodge Card Club Set to Reopen in Texas After Legal Battles
The Lodge Card Club is set to reopen its doors on May 26 at 9 a.m., marking the end of a tumultuous period for the Texas poker community. The club, located in Round Rock, was raided and shut down by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission in March due to concerns over money laundering and illegal gambling.
The reopening comes after a Williamson County Grand Jury found insufficient evidence to warrant a criminal indictment against the property’s owners. This decision paved the way for the club to resume operations and welcome back its members.
To celebrate the grand reopening, The Lodge Card Club will host a $50 no-limit hold’em tournament at 10:15 a.m. on the first day. Additionally, the club will introduce a new eatery, Frank & Margie’s, which will offer Italian-American cuisine. The new restaurant is set to open on May 16, ahead of the poker action.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
