Stephen Pang Wins APT Incheon Main Event in Thrilling Finish
Stephen Pang emerged victorious in the Asian Poker Tour Incheon main event, securing the title and $293,700 in prize money. Pang's win marks his biggest career live tournament result and the second consecutive victory for a Hong Kong player in APT events, following Lau Chun Shing's win in the 2026 APT Taipei main event.
The final table was intense, with Shoumin Zhang making a remarkable comeback after being down to just over one big blind. Zhang doubled up four times, pulling back into contention and forcing Pang to avoid a dramatic reversal of fortune. Despite the close call, Pang managed to close out the victory, earning the 24K gold APT main event lion trophy at the Paradise City Casino resort in Incheon, South Korea.
Yifu He finished in third place, earning $183,570. The event drew 1,393 total entrants and 807 unique players, with a total prize pool of 2,966,540 ($2,118,960). Pang credited his online poker experience for his success, stating he had been preparing for the event for over a year. Along with his first-place payout, the trophy, and the $10,000 seat, Pang earned 960 Card Player Player of the Year points in his first qualifying result.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
