Las Vegas' Sphere Warehouse Workers Vote to Unionize with Teamsters
In a landmark decision, 22 warehouse workers at the Sphere in Las Vegas have voted to unionize with Teamsters Local 986. This move is expected to bring about better wages, safer working conditions, and improved job benefits for the workers who play a crucial role in managing deliveries and ensuring the smooth operation of the venue.
Tim Vera, President of Teamsters Local 986, highlighted the significance of the Sphere's workers, stating that the venue's success is largely due to their dedication. "It has become one of the biggest venues on the planet because of the workers who keep it operating," Vera said.
The Sphere, known for generating $781.4m in revenue during 2025, is a pivotal entertainment destination in Las Vegas. The unionization of its warehouse workers is a significant step towards ensuring that those who contribute to its success are fairly compensated and respected.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
