Samuel Stranak Makes History as First Slovak to Win WSOP Bracelet
Samuel Stranak won the WSOPE Event #4 at the Royal Casino Rozvadov, defeating Alan Sabo in the heads-up final to win his first gold bracelet and €101,764. Stranak is a 24-year-old scientist from Bratislava. The tournament had 241 participants and a prize pool of €423,557. Stranak had only four previous cashes before this victory.
Both Stranak and Sabo prefer PLO and play Hold'em for fun. Stranak and Sabo are close friends in real life and this was the first bracelet for both of them. This was also the first bracelet in Slovakia's poker history.
Stranak's victory was a significant achievement, as he eliminated seven out of the eight finalists on his way to the top. The final table did not feature any well-known names in the poker world, adding to the surprise of Stranak's triumph.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
