Resorts World Las Vegas Shuts Down Poker Room
Resorts World Las Vegas will close its poker room on March 30, confirmed by the casino in a statement to Vital Vegas. The closure comes after Planet Hollywood recently shut down its poker room, marking two significant closures on The Strip in just over a month.
The 29-table poker room at Resorts World has been a hub for both low-stakes and higher-stakes cash game action, along with daily tournaments. The room's popularity has been noted, with Director of Poker Operations Leon Wheeler mentioning in an interview with Card Player in 2024 that the property benefited from the popularity of the poker room at the Wynn.
Dealer 'darkhrtlens' posted on Instagram that she had been informed that the poker room was closing and her job would be terminated. Additionally, Chris Murray tweeted that the poker room at Resorts World Las Vegas was closing at the end of March.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
