PokerStars Rolls Out New Seatfinder System for Low Stakes Cash Games
PokerStars has implemented a new automated seating system called Seatfinder for low stakes cash games, removing players' ability to choose their own tables. The system, which was first introduced in Spain in early 2017, is now live on PokerStars.com but does not apply to US and Ontario markets.
The new system, known as Seatfinder, was implemented on PokerStars.com on July 15, 2025. The system does not apply to players in the US and Ontario markets.
PokerStars has acknowledged feedback from players and is reviewing whether the table cap can be increased.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
