PokerStars Challenges Full Tilt with Massive Tournament Showdown
In a bold move to challenge its competitor, PokerStars has announced a significant tournament to rival Full Tilt's upcoming event. On July 18, 2009, PokerStars is hosting a tournament with a $1 buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000. This event is scheduled to start at 14:10 ET (22:10 MSK), just an hour before Full Tilt's tournament begins.
Full Tilt, on the other hand, is offering a tournament with a $5 buy-in and a massive guaranteed prize pool of $500,000. Their event is set to commence at 15:05 ET (23:05 MSK).
Players have the unique opportunity to participate in both tournaments, making the most of the competitive spirit between these two major poker platforms.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
