PokerStars Catches Bots Playing at High Stakes
A user named Malloc on the 2+2 forum discovered three players using the same strategy across different stakes. The players in question were 7emenov, bakabar, craizer, mvra, nakseon, kozzin, demidou, koldan, Daergy, feidmanis.
PokerTableRatings analyzed the statistics and found identical parameters across all ten players. PokerStars confirmed the bots and froze their accounts, with a total of 12 bots identified. The bots collectively earned $223,150, with $2,084 in cash and $4,446 in unused bonus points confiscated.
PokerStars is considering increasing the minimum buy-in for cash games to combat short-stack bots. The investigation into compensating affected players is ongoing.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
