PokerOK Accuses Poker Schools of Unfair Practices, Freezes Accounts
PokerOK, a Russian-language platform of the GG Network, has publicly accused poker schools of being the main threat to the integrity of the game. The platform has been freezing accounts of players from poker schools for verification, with restrictions on deposit and withdrawal methods. Ilya pokanuktus, head of the RSB fund, reported that 38 players from his school had their accounts frozen, with the number growing to 50.
Tyler, a well-known figure in the poker community, defended poker schools, stating that players from schools do not engage in soft play or collusion. He mentioned that hosting is rare in Russian-speaking poker schools due to public condemnation and educational practices. Tyler explained that bamhunting in MTTs involves selecting tournaments with many weak players and playing aggressively against them. He also noted that multi-accounting is monitored by school administrators, who ensure players do not have multiple accounts on different platforms.
FiatLab representatives stated that none of their players have been blocked for rule violations in two years. They argued that poker schools focus on quality education and professionalism, not criminal activities. FiatLab criticized PokerOK's approach, suggesting it targets plus-regular players under the guise of combating poker schools. FiatLab mentioned a case where a superuser in the GG Network exploited a software vulnerability to see equity in hands, causing financial losses to other players.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
