The tournament, which will take place just before the main WSOP event, has already garnered interest from over 30 players, including Tom Dwan.
Martin 'Quadchrazs' Ardon achieved the Supernova Elite status in 52 days, setting a new record. Ardon, a 24-year-old from the Netherlands, primarily plays SNG tournaments and aims to complete around 1,000 tournaments daily. He mentioned that he usually plays from 12:00 to 14:00 and goes to bed between 4:00 and 6:00, with four three-hour sessions each day.
Darren Foa, son of Paul Foa, pleaded guilty to illegal betting charges related to the last World Cup and was fined $125,000 and sentenced to 5 years of probation. His lawyer explained that the decision was made to allow Darren to return home sooner. Paul Foa, who remains under house arrest, maintains his innocence and plans to contest the charges.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
