Poker Stars Share Their August Twitter Highlights

In August 2013, several notable poker players took to Twitter to share their experiences and thoughts about the game. Anton Makievsky, known for his occasional poker grinds, mentioned that he sometimes gets the urge to play after reading poker forums. "How I read poker forums - immediately want to play. Conquer the peaks, so to speak. By experience, the surge is usually enough for a couple of hours :)" Rob Salaburu, a finalist of the 2012 Main Event, supported Anton's sentiment, saying "Exactly."

Chino Rheem, another prominent player, expressed surprise at hearing Russian players at his table during the WCOOP. "A few Russians are grinding WCOOP right behind my main table... I like it lol," he tweeted. Christian Harder, who had a frustrating experience in a heads-up tournament, complained about his opponent's behavior. "Bubbled in a 2k HU, lost to a guy who constantly whined about his bad luck #mohsin."

Mike McDonald reached out to the poker community for insights on deep runs in EPT tournaments. "Who has gone deep in a 2k EPT? How many people do you think will make it to Day 3?" Nick DiVella shared a photo of a bathtub where he would spend 6 days as part of a bet, adding a humorous touch to his tweet. Phil Ivey had a profitable online session, attributing his success to Victor Bloom's presence at the tables. "Finally had a profitable online session, thanks to Victor Bloom being at the 8-game tables."
