Where to Play Poker Online After Major Rooms Block Russian Players
In 2022, the poker world for many Russian players shrank significantly as several major poker rooms stopped accepting players from Russia. Partypoker was the first to leave in February, followed by PokerStars and 888poker in March.
Despite these changes, Russian players still have options to find games in various poker formats and at different limits. PokerOK has emerged as a leading alternative, offering a wide range of games and a $20,000 daily leaderboard in Hold'em and Omaha. However, PokerOK has a high rake and does not support external trackers or HUDs.
RedStar Poker, part of the iPoker network, allows the use of all third-party trackers and HUDs and offers a straightforward loyalty program with 20% rakeback for all players and 35% for those generating more than €500 in rake per month. Mobile poker apps like PPPoker and PokerBros also accept Russian players and offer a variety of games and payment options.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
