Poker Player Exposes Alleged Cheating at French Tournament
Mickey 'mement_mori' Petersen, a notable MTT player, recently shared his experiences at the Partouche Poker Tour in France on the 2+2 forum. Petersen detailed several incidents where he felt foreign players were treated unfairly and that cheating was allowed.
One of the incidents involved players Shon 'Jordankickz' Busse and Tim 'Tmay420' West, who were removed from the Day 1A list to make room for other professionals. Petersen mentioned that the tournament director compensated them with a dinner at a good restaurant.
Petersen also observed French players showing their cards to each other before discarding, which was not enforced when done by non-French players. He noted that a Danish player's stack was reduced from 43,000 to 33,000 during a break, and no action was taken despite video review.
During a side tournament, a French player was allowed to call after seeing his opponent's bluff, which was deemed unfair by other players. Michael Binger, a well-known offline grinder, was disqualified and banned from the casino for speaking out against the unfair treatment.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
