Phil Ivey Makes a Splash at World Series of Poker After Recent Wins
Phil Ivey has made a triumphant return to the World Series of Poker (WSOP), showcasing his skills and securing a cash in his first event back. Ivey finished seventh in Event #2: $100,000 High Roller Bounty, earning $133,127. This performance comes after a notable absence from the WSOP for two years.
Ivey's recent form has been impressive, with several wins and high placements in various events. In August 2021, at the Triton Poker Series in Cyprus, Ivey won the $25,000 No Limit Short Deck Hold'em event and placed second in the $50,000 No Limit Hold'em event. His success continued in April 2022 at the same venue, where he won the $75,000 No Limit Short Deck Hold'em and $50,000 Pot Limit Omaha events.
Additionally, Ivey had three cashes at the Triton Poker Series Madrid in May 2022. With this strong form, Ivey is poised to make a significant impact during his stay in Las Vegas this summer.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
