Phil Hellmuth Wins US Poker Open Event #5 with a Straight Flush
Phil Hellmuth won the US Poker Open event #5 for $211,200. He defeated Jeremy Ausmus heads-up to claim the victory. The event had 88 entries and produced an $880k prizepool.
Chris Moorman was eliminated by Cherish Andrews, who was the 2022 GPI Female Player of the Year. Allan Le, the winner of event 4, was eliminated by Hellmuth. Hellmuth's victory was his first PokerGO Tour title.
Hellmuth attributed his win to his 'reading ability' and 'White Magic', stating that his ability to read his opponents sets him apart from younger players. He also mentioned that his recent performances in the U.S. Poker Open have been impressive, with four final tables in ten events.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
