Phil Hellmuth's Epic Rant at the 2022 U.S. Poker Open

The 2022 U.S. Poker Open featured some of the world’s best players in high roller tournaments. Event #9 $25,000 NL Hold’em was particularly notable, as Phil Hellmuth once again found himself on the wrong side of luck. The hand in question involved Phil Hellmuth and Alex Foxen, with event winner Erik Seidel also at the table. Alex Foxen raised to 100k with Js9s, and Phil Hellmuth called with AsJc. The flop came down Jh 5h 9c, setting the stage for another classic Hellmuth rant. Foxen bet out 105k, and Hellmuth called. The turn was the 4d, and the pot was now 535,000. Foxen, now a 93% favorite, bet 315k with only 760k behind, causing Hellmuth to shake his head in disbelief. Despite his doubts, Hellmuth went all-in. Unfortunately for Hellmuth, only three aces left in the deck could help him, but the poker gods had other plans, and he lost the hand.
