Olivier Busquet Opens Up About His Poker Struggles in New Podcast
Olivier Busquet, a prominent figure in the poker world, has launched a new podcast titled Two Lives. The first episode was released on December 21, 2019, and is available on all major podcast platforms. Busquet plans to record 10-12 episodes in the coming months, with a variety of guests from different walks of life.
In the inaugural episode, Busquet himself took the hot seat, answering questions from his Twitter followers. He opened up about the challenges he has faced due to poker, revealing that he has dealt with many problems alone. Poker, he admits, often leads to isolation, and he hopes his experiences can help others in the community.
Busquet moved to New Jersey three years ago and now plays poker on WSOP, partypoker, and PokerStars. He plays for 30-40 hours a week, with sessions lasting 2-3 hours each. However, he has not played high-stakes tournaments recently due to financial difficulties and the increased strength of regular players. Busquet has been playing from his own bankroll for the past few months, after previously playing for backers.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
