Nevada Slot Machines Reach Historic High, Earn Over $900 Million in March
Nevada's slot machines have made history by earning a staggering $901.1 million from gamblers in March 2022. This unprecedented amount was reported by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, highlighting the significant role of slot machines in the state's gaming industry.
Gaming machines accounted for 7.5 percent of total bets, implying that more than $12 billion was wagered in March 2022. The Las Vegas Strip casinos contributed around $396 million of the state's $901.1 million in slot wins. Despite this, the Strip casino slot machines accounted for 8.55 percent of all money wagered on them, indicating a more conservative betting pattern compared to the rest of the state.
Non-restricted gaming licensees recorded a total gaming win of $1.355 billion in March 2022. This figure represents a 26.83 percent increase from March 2021, when operators earned $1.068 billion in gaming revenue. The $1.355 billion in March 2022 extended the run of billion-dollar months to 13 months, a feat never before achieved in Nevada's history.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
