Mikhail Sёmin Reflects on His WSOP Performance and Strategy
Mikhail Sёmin, a seasoned poker player, recently sat down to discuss his performance and strategy at the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Sёmin has made it into the money eight times according to Hendon Mob, but he believes he has made it into the money eleven times. He made his first final table appearance at the WSOP, but he felt that his performance was not up to his usual standards.
Sёmin and his press attaché, Anatoly Filatov, discussed his tournament performance and strategy. Sёmin mentioned that he did not look at the payouts until the very end of the tournament, which he believes helped him focus on his game rather than the potential winnings.
Sёmin also talked about his collaboration with Phil Hellmuth, another renowned poker player. They are working together to improve their poker game. Sёmin believes that luck plays a significant role in poker, and that without it, they would have won more braces. He also mentioned that his aggressive playing style has been criticized by some, but he believes it is necessary to win big in poker.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
